Vintage ornate 1909 cast iron mailbox. This mailbox has a top flap for inserting mail and a bottom flap for removal of mail. It also has a spring wire on the front for the newspaper. I would not recommend to use this mailbox for todays mail as it is too small. I would use as decoration only. This mailbox would make a great addition to your mailbox collection. Approximate Measurements The mailbox measures 12" tall. It is 5 1/4" wide and is 1 1/2" deep at its widest point.
