The Fortress
mailbox is ready for battle!
Weighing in at 98 LBS. and is individually
HAND MADE
and
ALL WELDED
using heavy duty 1/4" steel shell with 3/16" re-enforced and recessed  doors (important!).  A welded 2" continuous steel hinge is welded to withstand just about anything that is dealt to it (bats, sledge hammers, rocks, pry-bars, and yes - even CARS!).  The top unlocked door with polished satin handle is used by the mail carrier to insert mail through the 1-3/4" x 11-1/2" mail slot. With our incoming mail slot design, it keeps hands from reaching in and stealing the mail.  Watch out for "security mailboxes" with the wrong slot design that gives FALSE security for easy mail removal.  Also behind this top door is an
outgoing mail compartment
to send out mail and even small packages.  Be sure to use the 1/4" steel flag that is also included when sending mail.  Another advantage with the Fortress, due to it's large mail storage area (1,472 cubic inches), is that you no longer need to depend on your neighbor to pick up your mail. Nor will you have the post office put a hold on your mail again.
